Yellowstone Gateway Museum
Hi Everyone, Keelie here, reporting in from the Yellowstone County Museum in Livingston, Montana high atop the rimrocks overlooking the Yellowstone valley. The Corps of Discovery made their way along the Yellowstone river below on their journey west. I can see the bend in the river where they drove their horses across the shallowest point. I can almost hear the shouts of the men and the whinnies of the horses as they splashed across to the other side. I can see the Beartooth Mountains some sixty miles to the west.
Here I'm in Sacajawea Park in downtown Livingston, Montana. They have the only statue in the world of Sacagawea and Pomp astride a horse. It's a massive statue and sits in a beautfiul park. It was so nice to see this wonder statue.
The statue of Sacajawea is a must see if traveling along the Lewis and Clark trail. Livingston is lucky to have such a nice piece of work honoring her for her help in the success of the expedtion.

I got to meet this nice young boy visiing the Yellowstone Gateway Museum today from New Jersey.
In the Explorer's Room at the museum they have dress-up cloths of frock jackets, and buckskin for the kids to try on. They also had this map for kids to check out. It's fun to explore the museum.
Lewis and Clark historian and dosent at the Yellowstone Gateway Museum gave me the tour. Here is Norm Miller and I sitting in a dugout canoe built by the 4th Great Grandson of Capt. William Clark. Churchill Clark built this dugout canoe and loaned it to the museum. You are welcome to climb aboard and dream about being an explorer or member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
There is a fantastic display that details William Clark and his party's route through Park County. The display was created by Norm Miller and Kris Walker. Kris made early 1800's clothing for you kids to try on.
