When weather conditions change suddenly, park visitors and the local community rely on regular updates on park and road status. In order to ensure this information is getting to the public where they need it,this project provided funding for remotely operated permanent variable message boards to be installed.

These signs were installed on both ends of the park’s Santa Rosa Area, as well as, the entrance to the Perdido Key Area. Messages like caution sand and water on road, park closed, etc. are examples of messages that the visitors need to know.
