Ray Todd Receives Department of the Interior Distinguished Service Award
Ray Todd, former DSC Director, was recognized May 7, 2024 at the 77th Departmental Honor Awards Convocation in Washington DC with a Distinguished Service Award, the Department of the Interior’s (DOI) highest honorary recognition that is presented to employees for outstanding contributions made during an eminent career with DOI or exceptional contributions to public service.
Ray was recognized for his significant and lasting contributions through excellence in project and program management in federal planning, design and construction throughout the national park system. Noting that, "under Mr. Todd’s leadership, the Denver Service Center is executing 95 projects funded through the Great American Outdoors Act/Legacy Restoration Fund, totaling nearly $2.6 billion for fiscal years 2021-2023. These projects are enabling the Service to reduce the maintenance backlog, protect critical resources, expand recreational opportunities, and focus on long-term sustainable operations for the next century."
