Engineering Report on Fort Pickens Area Water Systems
Year: 2016 Total cost: $73,375
The Fort Pickens District water system distributes water to the discovery center, historic area, and 200-site campground. This project provided the park with an engineering report to guide the replacement of this outdated and inefficient systems. The report includes an existing system overview, water use (demand and flow), fire flow, existing well construction and capacity, reviews of existing storage tanks, pump controls, distribution system, treatment options, defined alternatives and identification of the preferred alternative.
Empowered with this report, the park can begin the long term planning, design, and implementation of a more efficient and sustainable water system that ensures visitors have safe water facilities into the future.
