Kenneth "Ray" Skinner Interview
Kenneth “Ray” Skinner grew up on a 100 acre farm in Louisiana. In 1942 he decided to take the Navy up on their promise to “Join the Navy and see the world.” His chosen profession was machinist but the Navy had another plan for him and he wound up being trained as a radioman. He served three tours of duty in the Aleutians during World War II as part of VP-41, VP-61 and VP-62 and flew in the PBY-5A. His interview occurred in 2007.
