The National Park Service (NPS) will enhance the well-being of parks, their ecosystems, and the communities they serve by investing in support for implementation of park projects funded by the Inflation Reduction Act. Moreover, the investment will facilitate engagement of parks and programs in the One Health community, focusing on identifying, understanding and addressing emerging One Health challenges. The project's interdisciplinary and collaborative approach will proactively seek opportunities to enhance health outcomes for wildlife, people, and our shared environment.

Why? Programmatic, scientific and administrative support will ensure efficient, collaborative, and effective use of resources for the benefit of parks.

What Else? Intended results of this project aims to provide coordinated subject matter expertise and administrative and technical support to projects as well as technical support to parks service-wide for emerging and ongoing One Health challenges.
