Distribution/Habitat: Common in the southern United States, Mexico, Central America and South America. Found in open habitats such as grasslands, parks and home gardens.

Average Life Span: 14-27 days after emerging from chrysalis
Diet: Drinks nectar from plant families such as lantana plants and asters.
