Repair William M. Colmer Visitor Center Roof

Year: 2013 Total cost: $251,712.56

This project repaired, and in some cases replaced, portions of the Davis Bayou Visitor Center roof damaged by Hurricane Isaac, which had caused leaks to occur throughout the building. Completing this project protected the overall structure from water damage, ensured safe work environments by mitigating the risk of mold, and the many interactive and high quality exhibits inside the visitor center. Before the work was completed, leaks had caused services including the park’s orientation film and other programs to be cancelled.
