Welcome explorers and scientist! In association with the 2016 Centennial Bioblitz, the National Park Service is proud to collaborate with the iNaturalist team for data management. iNaturalist allows citizen scientists to make observations with just the snap of a picture. Using any mobile Android or Apple device you can identify any plant or animal you come across, anywhere you go!

At Cabrillo National Monument, we created a “how-to” instructional video to guide students and visitors in creating and using their iNaturalist account. Available in both English and Spanish, these videos will help support explorers in creating observations and taking notes about local flora and fauna.

On May 21st,2016 from 9 am to 8 pm, Cabrillo will be hosting a public Bioblitz event, where the public can come and practice their iNaturalist skills. We invite all citizen scientists to start their adventures here at Cabrillo National Monument. Get up, get out, and #FindYourPark
