Robert E. Lee returns to Harpers Ferry after 160 years! We have proofs for the new exhibits at Arlington House, The Robert E. Lee Memorial. This project began in 2014 as a result of a generous $12.35M donation by businessman and philanthropist David Rubenstein. These proofs represent but one component of a collaboration between historic furnishing, conservation, waysides, AV and some custome in-house work. The HFC team also rose to the challenges surrounding the project's sensitive political nature, high profile location, and connection to a major NPS donor. On Wednesday, March 13, representatives from the park took advantage of their proximity to HFC to view the proofs and discuss the upcoming installation.
