“Walktober” Brings Fall Fun to The Last Green Valley
Autumn is now in full swing in our Northeastern National Heritage Areas. From the crunch of leaves below your footsteps to the bright colored foliage and crisp fall air, there is so much to take in. To help you do so, The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor (TLGV) is celebrating their 31st annual Walktober for the whole month of October. The event-packed month is filled with ways to take in autumn’s offerings through outdoor recreation, and free cultural events.
The Last Green Valley is named for being the last dark sky region of the highly urbanized Boston-Washington corridor. It spans 35 small towns and is comprised of farmland and forest areas in south-central Massachusetts and northeast Connecticut.
