Meet two of our incredible volunteers from the Chatham Garden Club! 🌸

Manon Dixon has been a dedicated member of the Chatham Garden Club since 2018, where she brings her deep expertise as a Master Gardener—a title she earned in 2011 but modestly keeps low-key. Every Wednesday, Manon joins her fellow volunteers to care for the stunning gardens at Chatham Manor. Her favorite blooms? The vibrant peonies that make their appearance mid-spring, adding a touch of magic to the historic grounds. Beyond her love of gardening, Manon treasures the friendships she’s built through the club, which inspired her to invite her friend AJ Muralidhar to join the team.

Manon and AJ became fast friends after meeting at a Seed Swap event. Since joining the Chatham Garden Club in 2023, AJ has brought his love of gardening and curiosity for learning into every project. After the challenges of the pandemic, AJ dove into gardening as a way to stay active and connected with nature. His favorite spot at Chatham? The historic Van Fleet roses, a unique breed planted here in the 1920s.

Both Manon and AJ embody the spirit of our volunteer community—dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate about making the world a little greener. We're so grateful for their contributions to the beauty and history of Chatham!

Thank you, Manon and AJ, for being a treasured part of the NPS family! 💚
