Soundscapes of the Seashore is an immersive digital experience that highlights Point Reyes’ vibrant sonic landscape on five remarkable trails across the park, including Abbotts Lagoon, Bear Valley, Palomarin to Alamere Falls, Five Brooks, and Muddy Hollow. In collaboration with Point Reyes National Seashore Association, four recordists set out to capture the sonic diversity of select trails around the Seashore. Through these soundscapes, as well as photography, written narratives, and animation, Soundscapes of the Seashore explores the ways in which nature’s diverse voices are shaped by their ecosystems.
