Mosaics

Allyn Cox was awarded a contract to design the mosaic murals on August 31, 1964. The first mural, representing Appomattox was installed on the north wall by April 1, 1965, and the others representing Vicksburg on the east wall and Chattanooga on the west were installed by April 1, 1966. All the mosaic murals were dedicated with appropriate ceremonies on May 26, 1966.
