Notes on Habitats and Flora

This list is based on a fast survey of the island, most of which is closed because of an asbestos issue. I surveyed the island’s perimeter and to a limited degree several trails on the top of the drumlin. Staghorn suamc and early-successional tree thickets dominate the island’s uplands. Gallops Island undoubtedly has many more vascular plant species than this list shows.
