Alice Arriaga Medina was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She studied at the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, where she graduated from the Chi de Bellas Artes in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Folklórico. During her time there, she also toured with the university’s dance company.
With more than 30 years of experience dancing and teaching Mexican Folklórico, Maestra Alice has dedicated her career to preserving and sharing cultural tradition through the arts. She owned and operated Ballet Folklórico of Dallas for over 15 years, working closely with Dallas OCA, the City of Fort Worth, and various community organizations throughout that time.
In 2014, she returned home to El Paso to continue promoting her love and commitment to Mexican culture, folklórico dance, and the arts. The following year, she established Camino Real Ballet Folklorico (CRBF) with a mission to continue the teachings of our culture through dance. CRBF strives to create a positive and joyful experience for all students, nurturing talent, celebrating achievements, and inspiring a deep appreciation for dance and the arts. The studio is committed to offering a safe, encouraging environment where students feel empowered to grow.
CRBF has proudly represented El Paso at the Texas State Fair, Walt Disney World, the ANGF Conference, and numerous community events. Now celebrating its 10-year anniversary, CRBF looks forward to shaping the artists of the future—teaching kindness, respect, self‑esteem, and the value of learning and growing together.
