Environmental Factors

The waters of the Alagnak Wild River support significant sockeye salmon spawning habitat for the Bristol Bay commercial fishery, one of the largest in the world. Recent water quality studies conducted in the area indicated pristine water quality conditions. Maintaining the pristine water quality on the Alagnak is the primary environmental concern to be attended to by the National Park Service.
