April 8, 2005 Visitor Experience and Resource Protection We would like to inform you that we have just released our Visitor Experience and Resource Protection program 2004 Annual Report and Field Methods Manual. You can view these documents at www.nps.gov/yose/planning/ucmp.htm. Our first year for testing out indicators of impacts from visitor use was 2004. These indicators ultimately will be used to inform and guide management decisions in the park as part of a comprehensive user capacity management program. We welcome your thoughts and suggestions on this process. The program is in its initial stages of implementation, and as we move forward, we are committed to keeping you informed and involved.
