Draft Revised Merced River Plan/SEIS
Coming Soon
Reserve your copy by December 10

In early 2005, the National Park Service will release the Draft Merced Wild and Scenic River Revised Comprehensive Management Plan and Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (Draft Merced River Plan/SEIS). The document will be available in printed hard copy, on CD ROM, or on the park's web site.

To receive the draft document, please specify the format you prefer and notify the park by (e-mail us), by fax (209/379-1294), or by phoning 209/379-1365 (please speak clearly, spell your name, and provide your address). In order to prepare for production, we need your response no later than December 10, 2004.

The revised plan will serve as a supplement to the June 2000 Merced Wild and Scenic River Comprehensive Management Plan and Final Environmental Impact Statement (Merced River Plan/FEIS) . This document can be viewed on the park's web site (www.nps.gov/yose/planning/mrp) or limited copies are available (3-volume print version and on CD ROM). Please let us know if you would like to receive the June 2000 Merced River Plan/FEIS, as well.

You can learn more about this project at www.nps.gov/yose/planning/mrp/revision/.

To those of you on the planning mailing list—We goofed!

We recently mailed an announcement to our Planning Mailing List and included a mail-back postcard for folks to submit a request for the Draft Revised Merced River Plan/SEIS. WE GOOFED and placed an incorrect permit for return mail on the postcard. In order for it to reach the park, the postcard must be mailed back with a 23 cent stamp. Watch your mailbox for a new mailer. OUR FACE IS RED, and we apologize for the mistake and the inconvenience.
