Classroom Enrichment Programs: Designed from Virginia's Standards of Learning (SOLs) requirements, Colonial National Historical Park offers educational programs on the historic site to enhance your students' academic experiences. Student participation is encouraged through use of the inquiry method and hands-on activities. Programs can be reserved on weekdays from October through May. There is a $30.00 interpretive fee for each program. To ensure a program for your class, please call at least two months and no more than five months in advance.All reservations must be made in advance. To arrange a program, call the Jocelyn Watlington (757) 898-2411 between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Teacher–Ranger–Teacher (TRT) program provides opportunities for teachers to connect to the resources in a national park. Teachers develop lesson plans based on their park experience for use in the classroom and parks.

Did You Know?
During the Civil War, 632 Union dead were buried in the heart of the 1781 battlefield. In 1866 this cemetery became a national cemetery. Within a 50 mile radius, the remains of over 1500 Union soldiers were disinterred from their war burials and honorably placed in the Yorktown National Cemetery.
