Yorktown Battlefield has a Junior Ranger Program. The program was developed to allow families to learn together and are designed for children through age of 12. Each Junior Ranger Program takes about two hours to complete. Booklets can be purchased for $.96 from the gift shop. Experience the end of colonial America with the final major battle of the American Revolution to become a Yorktown Junior Ranger. Successful completion of the program earns a Certificate of Merit and a patch symbolizing the historic nature of the site.

Did You Know?
On July 6, 1781, near Jamestown, the Marquis de Lafayette’s small American force fought General Cornwallis’s army at the Battle of Green Spring. Lafayette lost this, Virginia’s largest infantry battle of the war, but saved his army, enabling him to spy on the British army as it moved to Yorktown.
