Go Green

Wolf Trap is a new member of the National Park Service Climate Friendly Parks program. Wolf Trap is working to be more climate friendly by improving recycling efforts, using environmentally friendly products, reducing energy use, and educating the public about environmentally friendly practices.

There are two ways you can help Wolf Trap "Go Green":

  1. Recycle your bottles, cans, and glass in the green topped containers found throughout the park.
  2. Log on to www.doyourpartparks.org/wotr to learn and participate with the Do Your Part! program.

What is the Do Your Part! program?
Do Your Part! for ClimateFriendly Parks is the first interactive online program in the country that provides national park visitors and supporters with tools to understand and reduce their carbon footprints and thereby help to protect our national parks from global warming. Click here to read the June 16, 2008 press release about the Do Your Part! program at Wolf Trap.
