Wolf Trap hires many temporary summer employees to assist with the annual performance season that runs from late-May to mid-September.
For the 2009 performance season, job announcements will be posted on in February and March 2009. Applicants should read the vacancy announcements closely for directions on how to apply for a Federal position.

Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP) - The STEP program is designed to hire students* into Federal positions without the process of applying under vacancy announcements. Students may submit a resume or a Federal Application, OF-612, at anytime during the hiring season.
*A student is defined as: An individual who is enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) seeking student and is taking at least a half-time academic/vocational/Technical course load in an accredited high school, technical or vocational school, 2 or 4 years college or university, graduate or professional school. Half-time is determined by the school in which the student is enrolled. Students must submit a letter from school verifying status (at least ½ time) in a degree program, provide original transcripts, and must maintain a 2.0 grade point average.

Jobs Available in 2009
There are so many exciting summer jobs at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Here's a brief description of the jobs that will be available for the 2009 summer season.
- Ushers help seat patrons and enforce house rules.
- Maintenance Workers help with parking operations and keep the park safe and clean.
- Stage Door Aides are the support staff for the production office.
- Park Guides work during the day, wear a Park Ranger uniform, give interpretive programs, and help at the Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods.
- Visitor Use Assistants work during the evening, wear a Park Ranger uniform and help with crowd control, parking operations, and emergency situations for performances at the Filene Center.
- A Theater Specialist mixes sound and helps with stage management at the Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods.
