Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods

Special performing arts programs for children are offered during the summer season. Located at the Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods, shows are offered Tuesday through Saturday at 10 and 11:15 a.m. from late-June to mid-August. There are two different shows each day. Tickets are $8 for one show or $10 for both shows on the same day. Children under 3 years old are free. Most shows are recommended for children 3 - 12 years old.

The living National Christmas Tree, a Colorado blue spruce originated, from York, Pennsylvania and was planted on the Ellipse on October 20, 1978. The tree stands as a daily reminder of the holiday spirit and of the tradition each succeeding President has participated in since 1923.
