HISTORIC JOHN RAY HOUSE CLOSED DURING ROOF REPLACEMENT
The Ray House will be closed for tours while a new cedar shake roof is installed. We regret the inconvenience, but the work is necessary for the preservation of the structure. The work is scheduled to begin July 7 and continue for three to four weeks.
The Visitor Center is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and contains exhibits about the battle, a twenty-nine minute film, an eight-minute fiber optics map program and a bookstore. In compliance with ADA standards, assisted listening devices are available for use with the orientation film.
All park facilities are closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
In addition to the Visitor Center, the Ray House is open periodically through the summer, with interpreters dressed in period clothing giving guided tours.
