Separate activities are available for children ages 4-7 and 8-12.
Upon successful completion of the booklet's activities, children are awarded a Junior Ranger badge and certificate.

The Wilson's Creek Foundation, a local grass-roots organization, began the preservation of the battlefield by raising  $1,600 and purchasing 37 acres of Bloody Hill in 1951.
