The Tule Lake Segregation Center was originally built during WWII, and in the 1950's most of the metal and other reusable materials were removed from the building. During 2019 & 2020, the National Park Service funded a full restoration of the building. Historic jail and hallway doors were re-installed, the historic writings on the walls were protected and fixtures and utilities were re-added to the building. The video takes you room by room showing you the complete restoration process.
