To commemorate Veterans Day, the National Park Service is offering free admission at all park units Saturday, November 10 through Monday, November 12.Entrance fees will be waived at Theodore Roosevelt National Park, giving visitors one last fee-free opportunity to enjoy the park this year.

"It is important to remember our veterans, including Colonel Theodore Roosevelt, and what they have done for our country," said Superintendent Valerie Naylor."Spending a single day or an entire weekend enjoying our national parks is a wonderful way to honor our veterans and celebrate our national heritage."

Theodore Roosevelt National Park's three visitor centers will be open for business.The South Unit Visitor Center will be open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. MST and Painted Canyon Visitor Center will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. MST; the North Unit Visitor Center will be open 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST.

The other two national park units in

North Dakota - Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site near Williston and Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site near Stanton - are among the more than 200 national parks that never charge entrance fees.
