History Mystery (post-tour activity)

Recommended for grades 4-6, but can be adapted for middle and high school age students. Program length: 1 hour. Fee - $1.00 per student. All group tours are by reservation only.

Victorian Interlude

Fourth grade only. Program length: 3-4 hours. Fee - $75.00 per class. All group tours are by reservation only.

Roosevelt the Reformer: Theodore Roosevelt, the Progressive Movement, and Big Stick Diplomacy

Recommended for grades 8 and 11. Program length: 1 1/2 hour. Fee - $3.00 per student. All group tours are by reservation only.

On September 14, 1901, Theodore Roosevelt rose to the presidency amid the tragedy of William McKinley's assassination. He immediately reassured the nation of his intent to "continue, absolutely unbroken, the policies of President McKinley for the peace, prosperity and honor of our beloved country." Despite this pledge, Roosevelt would leave an indelible mark on the nation's foreign and domestic policy as he quickly began to follow his own path. Explore how Roosevelt's "Square Deal" advanced the reforms of the progressive era, and how his "big stick" contributed to America's rise to global prominence.

Architectural Walking Tours of Historic Buffalo Neighborhoods

Traveling Trunks

The trunks can be borrowed for a two week period of time free of charge. Reservations should be made at least a month in advance. The pick-up and return of all material is the responsibility of the borrower.

Outreach

Fee for outreach- $50.00. If scheduling two or more consecutive programs, the charge for the first program is $50.00, with a fee of $30.00 for each additional program. ("Consecutive" is defined as two or more programs at the same location, on the same day, and with an interval of no longer than 1 ½ hours between starting times.) Additional mileage charge for locations 30 miles or more from the site.
