The National Park Service is preparing a foundation document for planning and management at the Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail. The trail would like to invite the public to join in this effort.

Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail Junior Ranger Summer Camp 2014
The Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail will host a Junior Ranger Summer Camp on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Lowndes Interpretive Center. Children, ages 5-12 years, are invited to attend.

Lowndes Interpretive Center

The Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail was created by an act of Congress in 1996. The National Park Service operates the Lowndes County Interpretive Center, the first of three planned centers. It is halfway between Selma and Montgomery and is on the site of the original “Tent City”.
