No GPS? No Worries!

Saratoga National Historical Park is located 40 miles north of Albany, the state capital, and approximately 15 miles southeast of Saratoga Springs.

NOTE

All signs for the park are brown with white letters and say "Saratoga National Historical Park." Also, mileages are approximate.

The first portion of these directions is the same for all units within Saratoga National Historical Park.

  • Follow I-87 (the "northway") and get off at Exit 14

  • Follow directional signs for Route 29 East. Take Route 29 for about 10 miles into Schuylerville.

  • At the intersection with U.S. Route 4 ("T" intersection), turn right to head south.

  • THEN, depending on what part of Saratoga National Historical Park you wish to see, refer to the directions below.

For Victory Woods:

  • Continue on U.S. Route 4 for 1/2 mile.

  • Turn right onto Burgoyne Road (county road 338).

  • After about 1/2 mile, turn left onto Monument Drive. NOTE: Monument Drive is a Dead End

  • Parking for Victory Woods is at the end of Monument Drive. Trail access is also available from the Saratoga Monument, see directions below.

For Saratoga Monument:

  • Continue on U.S. Route 4 for 1/2 mile.

  • Turn right onto Burgoyne Road (County Route 338).

  • After about 3/4 mile, Saratoga Monument will be on the left.

For Schuyler House:

  • Continue on U.S. Route 4 for about 1 mile, crossing over a small bridge

  • The Schuyler House will be on the left.

For the Visitor Center (Battlefield):

  • Continue on U.S. Route 4 for about 9 miles.

  • The entrance to the Battlefield will be on the right.

  • Turn right onto Park Entrance Road.

  • Drive about 2 miles on the Park Entrance Road until you arrive at a stop sign.

  • REGULAR PARKING: at the stop sign, drive straight across the intersection to the parking lot.

  • HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE PARKING: at the stop sign, turn left onto Roosevelt Road, parking lot is at the top of the hill.

  • Exit the third traffic circle, following signs for Route 9 North.

  • Continue on Route 9 North for about 2 miles.

  • Turn right onto Route 9P (Saratoga Lake)

  • Continue on Route 9P for about 4.5 miles.

  • Turn right onto Route 423

  • Continue on Route 423 for about 4 miles

  • Turn left onto Route 32 North.

  • THEN, depending on what part of Saratoga National Historical Park you wish to see, refer to the directions below.

For the Visitor Center (Battlefield):

  • Continue on Route 32 North for about 2 miles.

  • The entrance to the Battlefield will be on the right.

  • Turn right onto Park Entrance Road and continue to the stop sign.

  • REGULAR PARKING: at the stop sign, turn right into the parking lot.

  • HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE PARKING: at the stop sign, drive straight across onto Roosevelt Road, parking lot is at the top of the hill.

For Schuyler House:

  • Continue on Route 32 North for about 8 miles. NOTE: you will pass the entrance for the Visitor Center.

  • Turn right onto U.S. Route 4, crossing over a small bridge.

  • The Schuyler House will be on the left.

For Victory Woods:

  • Continue on Route 32 North for about 8 miles. NOTE: you will pass the entrance for the Visitor Center.

  • Turn left onto U.S. Route 4.

  • Immediately turn left onto Burgoyne Road (County Route 338).

  • After about 1/2 mile, turn left onto Monument Drive. NOTE: Monument Drive is a Dead End

  • Parking for Victory Woods is at the end of Monument Drive. Trail access is also available from the Saratoga Monument, see directions below.

For Saratoga Monument:

  • Continue on Route 32 North for about 8 miles. NOTE: you will pass the entrance for the Visitor Center.

  • Turn left onto U.S. Route 4.
