The State Historical Fund awarded the National Trust for Historic Preservation a grant for the rehabilitation plan of Beaver Meadows Visitor Center. Tom Casey, the original architect, worked with a preservation team. The building serves more than 500,000 visitors annually; twice as much as its original design intent. The building is a National Historic Landmark.
