Educational Fee Waivers
A waiver of entrance fees may be granted to institutions conducting educational studies related to the resources of the park.
Fee waivers must be requested in writing, on the institution's letterhead at least two weeks prior to the visit. Include a statement about your group's educational objectives.

The oldest rocks in the park are metamorphic (biotite schist and gneiss) estimated at 1.7 billion years old, making them some of the oldest rocks within the National Park System.
