Educational Fee Waivers - What Are They and Who Qualifies?

National Park Service regulations allow school groups and other bona fide national and international academic institutions to obtain a waiver for park entrance fees, provided that the visit is for educational or scientific purposes.

Educational fee waivers are not automatically granted. Applicant groups must show they qualify for the waiver. The three criteria to be met to qualify for a fee waiver include: eligibility, educational purpose, and relevance of park resources or facilities.

1. Download Application Here:Academic Fee Waiver Application
2. Fill, Save, and attach to an email.
3. Please submit via email your completed Academic Fee Waiver application to the following email address: romo_fees_permits@nps.gov.

Academic fee waiver requests must be submitted at least 14 days prior to your visit to Rocky Mountain National Park.
