With the largest collection of outdoor sculpture in the nation, Fairmount Park is a museum without walls. The park is one of the oldest and largest urban parks in the United States, and has been embellished with artwork from its earliest days. It features works by famous artists such as Rodin, Calder, Lipshitz, Remington, di Suvero, and William Rush, who is widely recognized as America's first significant sculptor. However, many of these sculptures did not have labels or educational signs. A Preserve America grant helped the park promote its 200 pieces of sculpture.
