A $200,000 grant from the National Park Service's Land and Water Conservation Fund helped bring a community park to LaGrange County. Pine Knob Park features picnic areas with tables and grills, fishing facilities, trails and boardwalks, a clubhouse, and a 3-D archery trail with life-sized targets. Natural features include 18-acre Meteer Lake, an eight-acre wetland, and other wildlife habitats. LaGrange County bought and developed the 59-acre park with help from the LCWF grant, and opened it to the public in 2007.
