Wam-Sag-Man Trail

Wam-Sag-Man Trail provides a safe and beautiful ride

Pottawatomie County

Wamego, St. George, and Manhattan

The Wag-Sag-Man trail is an important part of a trail network that residents of Pottawatomie County use to commute or to enjoy a long bike ride. It will connect the towns of Wamego, St. George, Manhattan, and the local school with another 26-mile-long trail in Manhattan. The National Park Service Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program helped the county win a $10,000 Bikes Belong grant to pave the trail and helped the county resolve issues of construction and maintenance. The grant matched funding from a Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks grant and local funding for the project.
