City of Milford
Citizens along the Mispillon River are championing the river and touting its scenic, natural, and historical importance. Stimulated to action by reports of excessive nutrient and bacteria in the river, the Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance Program of the National Park Service, the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the City of Milford, joined with the Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control to design a conservation strategy to protect 11 miles of this scenic waterway.
