Brian Head, Utah
The new 44-mile Brian Head trail system makes the town’s majestic views accessible to citizens and visitors, while signs and maps explain how the town’s natural and cultural wonders were created. The Town of Brian Head wanted to make and maintain a sustainable, environmentally friendly, and multi-use trail system, but did not have the expertise to develop it. The National Park Service Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program supported the project by collecting GPS data, identifying trailhead locations, and developing a master plan for trail markers and educational signs. Residents of the small Brian Head community welcome visitors to enjoy this new trail system.
