Pu'ukohola Heiau National Historic Site is open daily year-round 7:45am-5:00pm (including all Federal Holidays). 

The Park entrance gate closes by 4:30pm daily and all vehicles need to be out of the parking lot before by 5:00pm.

Each week from January to March, volunteers from the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Santuary come to Pu'ukohola Heiau National Historic Site to watch the whales and to talk with Park visitors.
