Campers enjoy the great outdoors at Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground.

Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground (TRR) is a wooded camping facility for organized groups of seven or more persons. The campground is open year-round.

Amenities
Each site has a picnic table, grill/fire pit, parking area and lantern post. Restrooms feature sinks and flush toilets (no showers). There is one amphitheater with bench seating, which is reservable on a first-come, first-served basis.

Amphitheatre use
The Amphitheatre at TRR consists of semi-circular bench seating around a fire pit. The Amphitheatre is reserved through the normal permitting process.  A group leader must have a bucket of water during the campfire. Fires must be contained within the stone pit. Bonfires or enlarging the stone enclosure is not permitted. All fires must be "dead" out when you leave.

Capacity
TRR is a 6-site campground - See Map

  • 3 sites accommodate up to 25 people. (Sites A, B and D)
  • 3 accommodate up to 40 people. (Sites C, E, and F)

Campers are limited to no more than 14 overnight stays in a calendar year (January through December).

Each Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground site is $40 per site per night. Please note: This does not include the park's entrance fee of $5 for each private vehicle or $3.00 per person over 17 for commercial vehicles (including 15 passenger vans). Entrance fees are good for 7 consecutive days. Your credit card will be charged the entire fee for your reservation at the time it is received.

Reservations
TRR campsites are available by reservation or, if available, on a first-come/first serve basis. To reserve a TRR group campsite, fill out the application and either:

  • fax in your application with a credit card and valid signature to 703-221-3258,
  • mail in your application with a check or credit card, or
  • hand deliver your application to the park visitor center.

We recommend submitting applications for the spring and fall season at least one month in advance. We do not take reservations by phone, but we can provide information on site availability. Upon receipt of your application we will schedule your group and provide you with a permit (if space is available).

Groups may move into the reserved campsite any time after 12:00 p.m.
