  • Only one portion of the park is closed - Mary Ellen Kramer Park

    Due to a landscape improvement project, a section of the park, Mary Ellen Kramer Park, and the pedestrian bridge crossing the chasm is closed. Project may be completed early in 2015. The Great Falls can still be viewed at Overlook Park, 72 McBride Ave.

Operating Hours & Seasons

As a new national park, Paterson Great Falls is in the process of developing tours and other programs. We offer an introductory tour, you are welcome to view the Falls from Overlook Park and Mary Ellen Kramer Park, and walk around the Historic District.

The outdoor areas of the park are open year-round.

Other areas include the Great Falls Historic District Cultural Center and the Paterson Museum, a partner site of the National Park Service that is operated by the City of Paterson.

The Paterson Museum, at 2 Market Street, is open Tuesday - Friday, 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m., and Saturday - Sunday, 12:30p.m. - 4:30p.m. The museum is closed Mondays and holidays. For more information about the museum, you can contact them at (973) 321-1260 or visit them at their website.
