Paterson Great Falls NHP - Current Schedule

Beginning December 17, 2023, park staff will be onsite and available from 9:00AM to 4:30PM Wednesday-Friday. As staffing permits, park rangers will also be available on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00AM – 4:30PM. Please call the day before you visit to ensure availability. Portable toilets are available at the Overlook Park parking lot at our main address and are unlocked from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, staff permitting. The grounds are always available, but the best time to see the falls is between sunrise and sunset. The City of Paterson may close the Overlook Park lot after dark situationally.

Please Note:
There is currently no visitor center. We are without indoor facilities pending new visitor center construction. Portable toilets are available 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM staff permitting. National Park Passport stamps are available at the administrative office at our main address.
