Amphibians are declining worldwide and national parks provide excellent natural laboratories for their study. Ozark National Scenic Riverways is home to species ranging from the common bullfrog and spring peeper to seldom seen species such as the cave dwelling grotto salamander and the rare Ozark hellbender.
