Make a Difference!

Last year almost 970 volunteers donated over 65,000 hours!  Each year Olympic counts on volunteers to accomplish our mission. There are numerous ways for you to help.

We offer a variety of experiences including long term assignments, internships, wilderness based activities, and day long projects.

Recruiting for our summer season positions begins in January.  Be sure to check back often for new positions and updates.  You can also find information about our positions here.

Some internships are offered through a partnership between the Student Conservation Association (SCA) and the park’s volunteer program. Check out the SCA website for positions available through this program.

If you are a student needing to complete a project or specific qualification for school credit, please contact the volunteer office.

Do you have a Scout, youth or school group looking for a service project? Contact the volunteer office at 360-565-3141 for possible opportunities. Most group activities require at least one month lead time.

Did You Know?
That endemic Olympic snow moles are scurrying beneath this blanket of snow? Olympic National Park's Hurricane Ridge is blanketed with over ten feet of snow for most of the winter, providing water for summer and protection for snow moles in winter.
