The two photos compare the river channel at the site of present day Lake Mills before and after dam construction. The photo on the left was taken prior to 1927 when construction of Glines Canyon Dam began. The photo on the right shows the current river channel with Lake Mills Reservoir filled behind the dam.

That Mount Olympus receives over 200 inches of precipitation each year and most of that falls as snow? At 7,980 feet, Mount Olympus is the highest peak in Olympic National Park and has the third largest glacial system in the contiguous U.S.
