Children enjoy themselves and learn while visiting Ocmulgee National Monument
Children who visit Ocmulgee National Monument experience an immersion into many different cultural histories.  These eager learners also enjoy being out in the natural resource to view the birds, flowers, trees and wildlife of this urban greenspace.  A variety of hands on activites including creation of pottery, rope and baskets are available for people to learn by doing.  Self guided walks, bicycle rides and our museum exhibits plus movie round out a diverse assortment of fun learning actities for children of all ages to participate in.

During the archeological investigations at Ocmulgee National Monument during the 1930's, Dr. Arthur Kelly and his crew of more than 800 CCC workers discovered this well preserved example of a Southeastern native Mississippian Council Chamber.
