Children enjoy themselves and learn while visiting Ocmulgee National Monument

Children who visit Ocmulgee National Monument experience an immersion into many different cultural histories.  These eager learners also enjoy being out in the natural resource to view the birds, flowers, trees and wildlife of this urban greenspace.  A variety of hands on activites including creation of pottery, rope and baskets are available for people to learn by doing.  Self guided walks, bicycle rides and our museum exhibits plus movie round out a diverse assortment of fun learning actities for children of all ages to participate in.

The Dunlap House is 150 years old and was built here at Ocmulgee National Monument when the land was used as a dairy farm. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
