Obed Annual River Clean-Up
The Annual Obed River Cleanup this year was held on Saturday, May 11. 2013. Over 30 volunteers helped us clean up various sections of the river and trails. Following a morning of clean-up activities, volunteers were treated to a picnic lunch at the Obed Visitor Center. The lunch included burgers, hotdogs, chips, lemonade, and traditional picnic fare. They also received recognition gifts and certificates for their efforts. Please contact Obed Volunteer Coordinator Moria Painter at 423-346-6294 if you would like to volunteer at next year's event or if you have any questions about the event.

Did you know that the Obed river system contains a mixed forest of oak, hickory, poplar, pine, and hemlock trees?
