    Sagamore Hill National Historic Site Arbor Day Tree Planting - Check in at the Visitor Center for directions to the planting site; 11 a.m. Re-enactor James Foote, portraying Theodore Roosevelt will deliver one of the 26th president’s Arbor Day speeches. April 24

    Saint Paul’s Church National Historic Site

    Climb the bell tower - Hike the wooden staircase in the bell tower of St. Paul’s Church leading to the historic, 250-year-old metal bell; 3 p.m., weather permitting. Children who make the climb and complete two other short activities will be sworn in as Junior Rangers and receive their Junior Ranger badge. April 24

    Junior Ranger Day - Family activities with hands-on activities about the Ellis Island Processing and Statue of Liberty symbols. April 25

    Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site National Park Week – Launch of the site’s online Junior Ranger program. Ranger programs include discussion about Theodore Roosevelt and his role in expanding what would formally become the National Park System. April 21-25
