Grand Opening of Arrowhead Trail Join the celebration of the new stacked loop trail system in the New River Gorge National River!
Visitors from near and far will now be able to enjoy the public trail system constructed by Scouts in the BSA's honor society, the Order of the Arrow, at the New River Gorge National River, a unit of the national park system. When:Wednesday, September 7, 5:00 - 5:30 PM Where:Parking lot trailhead, located near Kaymoor Top.Follow Gatewood Road to Kaymoor No. 1 Road.Turn right at the intersection at Rocky Top Retreat. Who:Join Order of the Arrow members, National Park Service, New River Bicycle Union, and representatives of the International Mountain Bicycling Association to celebrate the opening of the new Arrowhead Trail. Details: -Some parking is available at the trail head -Overflow parking is located at Kaymoor Top Trailhead (veer left and pass the Rocky Top Retreat, continuing to NPS public parking lot.) -Remarks will be given by the Order of the Arrow, park superintendent and other partners. |
