Regulations on National Park Service lands
Federal regulations covering all National Park Service lands are contained in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 36, Chapter 1, also known as 36 CFR.Regulations specific to the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail are contained in the Natchez Trace Parkway's Compendium of Orders.


Firearm Regulations
The law governing possession of firearms inside a national park changed on February 22, 2010.

Visitors may possess firearms within a national park unit provided they comply with federal, state, and local laws.

The role of the responsible gun owner is to know and obey the federal, state, and local laws appropriate to the park they are visiting. Please remember that federal law prohibits firearms in certain park facilities and buildings. These places are marked with signs at public entrances.

The visitor center is open 7 days a week during normal business hours. The visitor center is closed Thanksgiving, December 25th and January 1st.
