Bank Stabilization & Permit Conditions
Conditions outlined in the PDF Document below are designed to protect the values for which the Missouri National Recreational River was included in the National Wild and Scenic River system. These conditions apply to activities authorized under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act. All other federal and state regulations and requirements shall apply to the proposed activity.

Bankline Inventory 2011
After the flood waters receded in the fall of 2011, MNRR and the Missouri River Institute at the University of South Dakota collaborated on a bankline inventory for MNRR. The purpose of this study was to create a database containing bank descriptions and their locations, including any processes that were occurring at the time of data collection (erosion, tree loss, etc.), detailed information on stabilization if it was present, and any areas in need of cleanup.
